Go in search of an outdoor restaurant in the heart of Rome … and meet Dal Bolognese. Overlooking one of the most beautiful squares of the Capital, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful view while tasting the best dishes of traditional Emilian cuisine. Dal Bolognese restaurant, in Piazza del Popolo 1, is all this and much more.

Your restaurant in Piazza del Popolo.

To make known one of the most famous and appreciated Italian kitchens in the world, we had the duty to choose an equally representative place, rich in history, art and “life”, where life means the uninterrupted strolling of residents and tourists, often without even realizing it, they walk daily on stones that have made history.

Time has passed since Sisto V here erected the imposing Egyptian obelisk coming from distant Heliopolis in Egypt, as well as when the death sentences were carried out on the square: its charm has remained intact, still capable to excite even those who have always lived in Rome.
Rome, thanks to its mild climate, is the ideal city to enjoy an outdoor lunch, in winter as in summer, and is fortunate to offer unforgettable views, difficult to find elsewhere.

Our terrace overlooks Piazza del Popolo: an intimate oasis where you can eat enjoying the priceless atmosphere of the most beautiful city in the world.

Bolognese cuisine in the very heart of Rome

Reference point in Rome, for over 50 years we are a reference point for lovers of Emilian cuisine, made of great traditional recipes, prepared with respect, served professionally and guided by the desire to offer our guests the best hospitality experience:

  • Among the appetizers, next to the classic Parma ham, Culatello di Zibello and Mortadella di Bologna, you will also find smoked Scottish Salmon, fish carpaccio, fried anchovies and sea salads.
  • Among the first courses, the protagonists are tagliatelle alla bolognese, tortelloni, lasagna verde and tortellini; next to the fixed proposals in the Menu: maccheroncini alla checca, tagliolini with lobster and tomato, and many other regional specialties.
  • The Boiled Meat Cart is the protagonist, next to large meat dishes such as cutlets and ribs, and traditional recipes such as English Roast Beef served with mashed potatoes and refined fish dishes (fish fillets of the day, crispy prawns, sole of Dover and seafood salad with prawns).

You’ll enjoy your meal with a selection of white, red and sparkling wines from a winery that includes all the best of Italian and foreign production.
We are open every day for lunch and dinner (excluding Mondays) and we are waiting for you to offer you a level experience in the heart of Rome.
